The girls finished in first place out of five teams with a score of 161 points and the boys took second, behind Fargo Davies, with 174 points.

“I was very pleased with the way we competed as a team,” head coach Darin McKinnon said. “Our kids took advantage of the good competition and performed well.”

The girls had six first-place finishes at the Invitational and the boys finished first in eight events.

“I like the balance for both the boys and girls teams this season,” McKinnon said. “The EDC will be strong again this year so our focus and preparation will be important for us to be successful.”

The Packer track teams have their next event on Friday, when they participate in an invitational at NDSU. Following that event, the Packers will not have another meet until Friday, April 5, also at NDSU.
