Girls Tennis: Packers host invitational Saturday
There will be a lot of fuzzy, yellow balls bouncing around town this weekend.
The Packers girls tennis team is hosting the ninth annual West Fargo Invitational from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Individual medals will be awarded for first place through fifth place, while team medals will be awarded for first place. The format will be six singles flights and three doubles flights.
Facilities used will be spread across the Fargo-Moorhead area. Besides West Fargo High School, they include Elephant Park, Fargo North, Fargo South, Fargo Davies, Island Park, Discovery Middle School, Bennett Elementary and Moorhead High School.
Participating teams include the Bruins, Spartans, Eagles, Fargo Shanley, Grand Forks Central and Red River, Wahpeton, Valley City, Jamestown, Minot, Bismarck Century, Bismarck, Dickinson, Mandan, Bismarck St. Marys and Williston.
