Healing Touch Chiropractic donates Tools for Schools

Since Healing Touch Chiropractic's first "Tools for Schools" drive three years ago, hundreds of notebooks, pencils, markers and more have made their way to the children of West Fargo. This year was no different as Healing Touch Chiropractic partnered with their practice members and the community to once again collect supplies for local schools, ensuring that teachers and students in need have the supplies necessary for a productive academic year.

Through their "Tools for Schools" drive, Healing Touch Chiropractic's practice members and staff collected new school supplies for elementary schools in the West Fargo District. The goal of this program was to ensure that every student was able to begin the school year with the supplies and positive outlook necessary to reach their full academic, physical and mental potential.

"Many children face multiple obstacles that hinder their academic performance," said Dr. Tiffany Johnson of Healing Touch Chiropractic. "I can't be in their homes to make them a healthy breakfast or encourage them to get more exercise but I can do my part to be sure each child has at least the basic supplies they need for the classroom."

The supplies were distributed on Friday, August 21, to local children through area elementary schools. "The economy has created some hardships for many families and school supplies are just another expense. This program not only helps them but the teachers, too. Thank you very much for your generosity," said a teacher from a local elementary school.
