In an effort to promote community and individual health and wellness, Dr. Tiffany Johnson and the team of Healing Touch Chiropractic will be conducting a series of lectures dedicated to educating and creating awareness within the community about overall health and wellness.
"I was looking for a way to spread the word about the benefits of health and wellness," Johnson said. "There is so much media attention for 'this pill' and 'that surgery' but we commonly overlook the benefits of prevention and the power of the body in maintaining overall health."
The program, which is designed to provide an overview of natural and holistic methods for improving wellness levels, reducing stress, and increasing energy, will offer several complimentary monthly workshops to the public at the Healing Touch office, 45 21st Ave. E., Unit D, West Fargo. The next workshop titled "Living Your Best Life: Healthy Responses to Stress" will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 20, with the program to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The session will be presented by Johnson and will focus on the true meaning of health and ways to manage stress through proper nutrition, a positive mental attitude, exercise and a healthy nervous system."The factors that most people use to gauge their wellness levels are giving them a false sense of security," Johnson said. "We designed this workshop to help people understand what health really is and how they can support their body's ability to strive for it." This is a must attend event for anyone who is interested in knowing more about a natural approach to wellness and the simple lifestyle changes you can make today to maintain wellness for a lifetime.
The next workshop topic will be for children, teaching them that their body is their own medicine. That will also be presented by Johnson on Oct. 25, at 6:30. All children are welcome to attend.
