High School loses fourth student

The West Fargo School District was struck with another tragedy on Wednesday, when it was confirmed that high school junior MaKenzie Walkin had passed away.

Information on the time and circumstances of her death have not been made available.

The crisis response team from West Fargo High School was activated, and will be working throughout the coming days to provide the necessary support for the students and staff.

Walkin, 17, was the fourth student death at West Fargo High School in just over a month. Sophomore Tessa Miller passed away on the morning of Thursday, Dec. 6. The following morning, junior Ian Alves lost his 18-month battle with cancer and senior Levi Schulz died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
