Horace Fall Festival set for Oct. 19
The annual Horace Fall Festival will take place Saturday Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Horace Community Center featuring 24 artists and vendors who will be selling their wares and products that are offered through their small businesses.
Most of those participating this year are from the Horace, Kindred and Christine area, including: Scotty’s Dips, Tupperware, Wildtree, Kathy’s Kreations, Herbal Life, Donna & Deanna’s Crafts, Cookie Lee, Celebrating Home, AVON, Scentsy, Close To My Heart, Connie Bruse-Inspired Designs, Pampered Chef, Origami Owl, Mary Kay, Tracey’s Scarves, The Black Frame, Thirty One, Norwex, Jamberry Nails, Clever Container, It Works!, Organo Gold Coffee, and Mary and Martha. Lunch will also be available served by a Horace Girl Scout troop.
Connie Bruse of Horace started organizing this gathering a few years with the intent of promoting small business in a small town atmosphere. Consequently, two festivals are held annually in Horace, one in February and the second October.
Bruse said they have been well received and very successful! “It’s fun for the local residents to have a wonderful shopping experience in their home town instead of driving into Fargo,” she stated. “Come shop with us. It is a very relaxed setting and really nice to be able to sit down and have a cup of coffee with a friend or two.
