Horace Lutheran Church to hold Dusty Shoes Open House at new church
Immediately following the Horace Bean Days parade on Saturday, August 22, Horace Lutheran Church will be hosting an open house at their new church, located just north of Horace on County Road 17. Rev. David Sorensen and his congregation want to welcome the community to take a sneak preview of the building and grounds, and join them in celebrating, as construction of their new church nears completion.
The Dusty Shoes Open House will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Free hot dogs and lemonade will be served.
A grand opening for the new facility is scheduled to be held on Sunday, September 13. The day will begin with a commemorative worship service of thanksgiving and remembrance at the congregation's old church on Wall Street in Horace, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the new church, and a celebration meal in the new fellowship hall.
