Huber completes FBI Hazardous Devices School
Ryan Huber, a North Dakota State University police officer, attended the FBI Hazardous Devices School Jan. 9 through Feb. 19 at the U.S. Army Ordnance Munitions and Electronics Maintenance School in Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
The session consisted of 210 hours in the Hazardous Devices Basic Course and 40 hours in the Bomb Technician Robotic Course. During the training, Huber learned the fundamentals of explosives; how to recognize, assess and render safe devices; and how to conduct post-blast investigation, decontamination and disposal.
Huber joined the University Police and Safety Office in 2008; and the Red River Valley Regional Bomb Squad in 2009.
He is a 1995 graduate of West Fargo High School, and the son of Al and Karen Huber West Fargo.
Huber and his wife, Carrie, reside in Fargo, with their three children, Edward, Lillian and Margaret.
