Hummel named to Bethany Post
Dawn Hummel, RN, BAN, has been named Senior Executive of Resident Care at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo. She will be responsible for overseeing resident care operations on both Bethany campuses in Fargo, including supervision of Directors of Nursing, Directors of Social Services, Health Information Coordinators and Quality/Education staff.
A native of West Fargo, Hummel was a Registered Nurse at MeritCare prior to joining Bethany Retirement Living as a staff nurse in 2005. She was named Memory Care Unit Manager in 2006 and Director of Nursing in September 2009. In 2010, she was named Senior Executive of Resident Care at Bethany on 42nd.
Hummel received her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing degree from Concordia College/Tri-College University. She has completed the Certified Nurse Executive Course offered through the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators. Hummel is the recipient of two Best Practices Awards from the North Dakota Long Term Care Association and has chaired Bethany’s efforts to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk. She is a member for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses and serves as a Director for the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (NADONA) Region VI.
