Indian Summer Quilt Show Opens

Over 200 quilts will be on display in the 33rd Annual Indian Summer Quilt Show relocated to its new venue in the downtown Fargo Civic Center, Sept. 21-23. National Quilting Association Certified Judge Klaudeen Hansen from Sun Prairie, Wis. will judge the entries in 18 categories, awarding place ribbons, cash and merchandise. Viewers can vote on their favorite entry.

Special quilt-related displays include sheARTS Project: Art Hats for Breast Cancer Awareness, handmade raffle quilt to benefit African Soul American Heart, and Small Quilt Silent Auction for Fiber Arts Festival. Bodacious Bazaar, demonstrations, lectures, and vendor mall will also open to the public.

Centennial Hall hours will be: Friday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The silent auction closes at 3 p.m. Sunday.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Admission is $5 daily or $10 for a three-day pass; and free for children under 12. The schedule is available online at www.ndquilts.com
