The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG) will hold a public input meeting on Thursday, Oct. 28, for the West Fargo Safe Routes to School Study. The open house style meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the West Fargo City Commission Chamber.
The intent of the study is to gather information on current safety and infrastructure concerns the public may have relative to areas adjacent to K - 8 schools as well as the Sheyenne 9th Grade Center. The Study will make recommendations for improving bicycling and walking infrastructure that connects students to their K-8 school sites as well as the Sheyenne 9th Grade Center. Also included will be recommended roadway improvements that will increase the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians on or near roadways adjacent to K-8 school sites and the Sheyenne 9th Grade Center.
West Fargo students and staff, as well as members of the public are encouraged to attend the public input meeting or provide comments electronically. The public is also invited to view additional information regarding the Study found at the project website http://www.fmmetrocog.org.
