James W. Miller, 76, West Fargo, died on Sunday, May 8, 2011, in Sanford Health, Fargo.
James Wallace Miller was born August 8, 1934 at Streeter, N.D. to Benjamin and Christine (Werth) Miller. James grew up and attended school at Streeter. He is a lifetime resident of North Dakota. He married Margaret Stolz on September 26, 1954, at Lehr, N.D. James farmed until 1955, then moved to Jamestown and worked for Robert Gibb and Sons. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until 1959. When he returned from his military service, James and Margaret moved to West Fargo and he continued working with Robert Gibb and Sons until retiring in 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Scott (Jodi) of Reiles Acres, N.D.; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Catie and Amanda Miller; and several
nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in law.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
The Funeral will be Thursday, May 12, at 2 p.m., at Bethel Evangelical, Fargo.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
