Jay Seabold, 35, West Fargo, died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home.
Jay Thomas Seabold was born in Fargo on July 6, 1974 to Herb and June Seabold. He attended and graduated Fargo North High School in 1993. There he was a captain of the hockey team and was DECA president his senior year. He went on to study Criminal Justice at NDSU. He played for the NDSU Club Hockey Team as well until a career ending injury. He then left school to pursue his true passion as a motorcycle mechanic. Jay married Laura Kemper on July 2, 1999 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. They had a son, Jack LaForrest on May 3, 2002.
Jay grew up loving life at his lake home on Big Cormorant Lake. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, especially with his companion JD. He also enjoyed fishing year round and riding motorcycle every chance he could.
He is survived by his son, Jack, and many friends who loved him.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo.
Memorials preferred to FM Humane Society in honor of Jay.
