Jenson, Berg to present recital

Valley City State University music students Ali Jenson, percussion, and Elissa Berg, piano, will be performing a recital on Thursday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m., in Froemke Auditorium, Valley City.

Jenson is a junior music major from West Fargo, currently studying with Chris Mahan at VCSU.  She will be accompanied by VCSU professor Jaime Namminga.  Jenson will be performing "Libertango," by Eric Sammut, "Flight of the Bumblebee," by Rimsky-Korsakov, "Concerto for Vibraphone," by Ney Rosauro and "Stubernic," by Mark Ford.  Jenson is the daughter of Doug and Connie Jenson of West Fargo.

Berg is a junior music major from Grafton, N.D. She studies with Professor Jaime Namminga. Berg will be performing movements from "Partita No.1 in Bb Major," by Bach, "Sonate Op. 2 No. 2," "Allegro vivace" by Beethoven, "Nocturne (Homage to John Field) Op. 33" by Samuel Barber and "Gnomenreigen" by Franz Liszt. Berg is the daughter of Scott and Nadine Berg of Grafton.

Admission for this event is free and a reception will be held afterwards.
