Journey Worship moving to Bethany on 42nd for summer
Beginning Wednesday, May 29, Journey Worship, serving worshippers in the more southerly neighborhoods of West Fargo is moving once again, this time to Bethany on 42nd in Fargo. The worship schedule is also changed to Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. The worship is informal, come as you are and interactive. "Journey implies that all are welcome, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey," said Pastor Judy Holmen.
Wednesday evening worship is appealing to those who spend weekends out of town and those who work weekends. Journey in Faith is a ministry of Faith Lutheran Church, an established and thriving church serving West Fargo for over 75 years. Faith Lutheran defines itself as one church with two locations reaching out to the growing population in southern West Fargo.
Journey Worship has been meeting at the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center in West Fargo, next door to what neighbors refer to as the pumpkin patch, and now the construction site of a new facility. This new facility is intended to serve the spiritual and social needs of children, youth and adults.
Journey Worship, using rented space since 2010, is pending a permanent home. Journey was organized in a church basement, moved to Scheels Sports Arena and then to Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center and now to Bethany on 42nd. Journey Worship will be held at the new facility on 40th Ave South, beginning in September.
Everyone is welcome to any of the worship experiences:
