Kindred High School takes first place in One-Act Play Contest

The 2013 NDHSAA State Class B One-Act Play Contest was held Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 25 and 26 in Jamestown, with Kindred High School taking first place honors for “Hide & Seek.” The other top place winners were: second, Richardton Taylor, “Women and War”; third, Park River, “Interview from America Hurrah”; fourth, Burke County, “The Lost Elevator”; fifth, Oak Grove, “Trojan Women: A Love Story”; sixth, LaMoure, “Cagebirds”; seventh, TGU Granville, “The Actor’s Nightmare”; and eighth, Wing, “Mustardseed.”

Cole Girodat and Autumn Stearns of Kindred also received Superior Actor Awards were presented Nov. 25 at University of Jamestown.

Each school qualified for State from one of 10 regions statewide with contests held in early to mid-November. School participating were: Burke County, Carrington, Drake Anamoose, Hebron, Kindred, Lakota, LaMoure, New Rockford-Sheyenne, North Sargent, Oak Grove, Park River, Richardton-Taylor, Starkweather, TGU Granville, Thompson, Washburn, Watford City, Wing, Wishek and Wyndmere.
