KOC Winners named in soccer challenge

The West Fargo Knights of Columbus held their annual Soccer Challenge at the Scheels Soccer Complex in West Fargo on Sunday, Oct. 18. The contest was geared for girls and boys, ages 10 through 14, from West Fargo, Fargo, and the surrounding communities. Twelve girls and twelve boys participated from a variety of local schools including: South, Eastwood and Westside Elementary, and Cheney Middle School, all West Fargo; Washington, Centennial, Lincoln, Carl Ben Eielson, Kennedy and Nativity Elementary, and Sullivan Middle School, all Fargo; and Park Christian School, Moorhead.

Winners in the girls division were: MacKenzie Watson, 10, Emily Hultin, 11, and Anna Reinholz, 13. Winners in the boys division were: Michael Noah, 10, Trayton Molland, 11, Nicholas Watson, 12, and Matthew Melander, 13. They advanced through the district and regional competition, and participated in the state competition held at the Hyslop Center, UND Campus, on Saturday, Nov. 21.
