Lake Agassiz Concert Band and MSUM Wind Ensemble to present joint concert
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band, will present a joint concert with the Minnesota State University Moorhead Wind Ensemble at West Fargo High School in the theatre on Sunday, March 2, at 3 p.m.
Among the pieces on the program will be “Be Thou My Vision” by David Gillingham, “Southern Harmony” by Donald Grantham and “Rule Britannia” with euphonium soloist Tim Wollenzein.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band has been active in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 1987. The 60 member band, comprised of adult wind and percussion players, performs four free formal concerts each year. Additional community performances include outdoor appearances at Trollwood’s Classical Music Festival and MSUM’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration.
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band is under the direction of Dr. John, Tesch, Professor of Low Brass at Minnesota State University Moorhead. The MSUM Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Monte Grise.
