The Lake Agassiz Concert Band will present a concert in West Fargo at the High School Auditorium on Sunday, March 7, at 3 p.m.
The concert will feature trumpet soloist and Minnesota State University Moorhead trumpet professor Tom Strait performing "American Jazz Suite" by Allen Vizutti. Also featured will be the "King Cotton" march by John Philip Sousa, the "Japanese Suite" by Gustav Holst, and much more.
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band is comprised of more than 60 area musicians and is under the direction of Dr. John Tesch, director of bands and professor of low brass at MSUM.
Support for the Lake Agassiz Concert Band is provided by the cities of Fargo and Moorhead through the Lake Agassiz Arts Council and by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council with funding from the McKnight Foundation.
The high school is located on the corner of 9th Street and 7th Ave. E. Admission to the concert is free.
