Living independently and staying active in the community for as long as possible is important for people as they age. When the time comes for people to explore options that will support their desire to live independently longer, Valley Senior Services is partnering with North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Local Contact Agent.
Valley Senior Service Options Counselors will work one-on-one with individuals and families to review available in-home care supports and services as well as long-term care options tailored to their specific needs, preferences, and values.
The Local Contact Agent provides public education to various community members and organizations about in-home community based supports and services.
Seniors are invited to learn more about how Options Counselors can help find services needed at the present as well as plan for future needs; at the same time learning how the role of the Local Contact Agent can benefit the community at large.
A session will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 127 2nd Ave. .E, West Fargo at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7.
