Lee R. Bahls

Lee R. Bahls, 32, West Fargo, died on Monday, July 6, 2009, in his home. Lee Reuben Bahls was born October 3, 1976, at Detroit Lakes, Minn., to Arlin and Shawna (Earley) Bahls. He grew up at Vergas, Minn. and graduated from Perham High School. He attended Oak Hills Bible College near Bemidji, Minn., and graduated from North Dakota State University with an Electrical Engineering degree. Lee was employed as an engineer at Fargo Assembly Company. On July 22, 2000, Lee married Callie Sell in Pelican Rapids, Minn. They made their home in West Fargo for the last five years.
Lee was a wonderful father who cherished his wife and children. He was a creative thinker who loved to invent things, some of which were patented. His kind, gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his wife, Callie; son, Landen; daughters, Delaney and Gracie, all West Fargo; parents, Arlin and Shawna Bahls, Vergas; sisters, Stephanie (Joshua) Farsdale, Walcott, N.D., Rabecca (Robert) Benjamin, Colfax, N.D., Victoria Bahls and Rachel (Dustin) Ebersviller, both Vergas; many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Jane Sell and brother-in-law, Derek (Darcie) Sell, all Hawley, Minn.
Visitation was held Friday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Living Hope Baptist Church, West Fargo.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 11, at 2 p.m., at Lake Eunice Evangelical Free Church, rural Detroit Lakes, Minn.
He was laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
