Letter to the Editor: School board grateful for support of bond referendum
Thank you West Fargo School District voters for your overwhelming support of the bond referendum that was passed on Tuesday, May 24. We appreciate the community's recognition of the importance of our students' education and the need for creating appropriate learning environments for our children to thrive in the 21st century. The successful vote is a positive step for our school district as we address current and future growth.
It was an extraordinary community effort. The referendum was successful thanks to the support and work of our teachers and their West Fargo Education Association, our West Fargo School District administrative team under the experienced leadership of Dr. David Flowers, and the support of the West Fargo City Commission. VOICE, Volunteers Organized in the Interest of Children's Education, was an active force with a large team of people working to get out the yes vote. Their work was instrumental in this important milestone in the West Fargo School District's future.
We also want to honor those board members and administrators that came before us and set the stage for the successful May 24 vote.
We need your help and support as we move this district forward together. At minimum, there will be opportunities for community engagement around boundary decisions, building projects, and career education. Please keep informed through our website.
