Letter to the Editor: Thank you patrons for your votes

We want to thank you for voting on June 8th. We appreciate the opportunity to continue serving you for four more years.

Now we need your help moving forward. We have a lot of work ahead of us to gain your trust, find additional space for students (which will mean building projects), embrace our new superintendent, and improve communications. It's not just up to the school board to do this; it's up to all of us.

Here are some ways you can help:

• Thank a teacher - they work very hard to educate our future.

• Join your school PTA or PTO.

• Find ways to volunteer in schools or on school district committees.  We will need community involvement in the next strategic and building plans.

• Visit our West Fargo School District website at www.west-fargo.k12.nd.us. You will find information about the wonderful things going on in our schools, as well as opportunities for your involvement.

• Contact a school board member when you have a concern. You can find contact information for the seven board members on the website under district links and then school board.

Thank you. We look forward to a bright future.

Angela Korsmo and Karen Nitzkorski
