Intermediate Microsoft Publisher: Thursday, April 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. Learn about image sources, grouping, and ordering. Also practice cropping, formatting, and editing photos. You'll be amazed by the options made available to you in Publisher. Classes are free. Registration is required. You may register by calling the library at 701-433-5460 or by stopping by. Genealogy: Saturday, April 21, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions.
Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, April 24, 6:30 p.m. Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. New and experienced knitters are welcome. Come with your own supplies. You will receive help getting started. New knitters should bring size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. If you're interested in learning to crochet, bring crochet hook and yarn.
Video Gaming: Sunday, April 22, 2 to 4 p.m. Join the fun and try your skills at Kinect Sports or Mario Cart Racing. Open to kids of all ages.
Simply Stories: Tuesday, April 24, 10 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts. If you're looking for stories and crafts, visit the Library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.
Storytime: You are invited to hear stories and help your child(ren) with a simple make-and-take project. This program is geared for young children. Don't underestimate the power of one half hour of time with your child. Daycares are welcome but call ahead (701-433-5460) there are enough supplies. Caretaker must remain with child. Thursday, April 19, 6:30 to 7 p.m., "Share a Story;" Tuesday, April 24, 1:30 to 2 p.m., "Skunk's Spring Surprise;" Thursday, April 26, 6:30 to 7 p.m., "Special Storytime with Curious George." Take your camera.
Friday Morning Movie: April 20, 10:30 to 11:35 a.m., "The Reluctant Dragon." A children's movie rated (E) about dragons and a brave young knight. 62 minutes of fun sure to delight young and old.
New Movie Saturday: April 21, 2 p.m., "Larry Crown." Engaging movie on reinventing yourself. Surprises happen when you embrace change and realize it is never too late. Delightfully funny with actors Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. (Rated PG-13)
Pandora Radio and Hulu: Free and legal music and television on the internet. Thursday, April 26, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Pandora is a free, personalized internet radio site that lets you find and listen to music based on what you enjoy. If you like music and spend a lot of time at a computer, you don't want to be without Pandora. Hulu makes free online episodes of many television shows available. If you have a high speed internet connection and like radio or TV, Pandora and Hulu are for you. Classes are free. Registration is required.
