West Fargo: Looking Back, Looking Forward: This exhibit features an illustrated timeline of the history of West Fargo and includes a few peeks at what lies ahead. Visit the exhibit (upper level) during library hours.

Video Games & Lego: Sunday, Dec. 29, 2 to 4 p.m. All are welcome to get their game on. A variety of video games and Kinect are available to play along with Lego’s. Fun on a Sunday afternoon, no registration required and this event is supervised at all times.

Regular Events:

Genealogy: Saturday, Dec. 28, 12 to 4 p.m. Are you ready to explore your family’s history? Receive help. Take your projects or just ask questions.

Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, Dec. 31, 6:30 p.m. Do you like to crochet or knit? This adult group invites adults to join them anytime. Take your own supplies. Lots of help for new crafters and those who need a refresher.

New Release Movie – Despicable Me 2: Saturday, Dec. 28, 2 p. m. Just released and showing at the library. Once upon a time it was a battle of baddies at the box office and now you are invited to this movie’s sequel that is no less fun. (Rated PG)

Friday Morning Movie – The Snowman: Dec. 27, 10:30 a.m. Based on book by Raymond Briggs. Become enchanted by this delightfully animated story. Enjoyment for the whole family. Rated E (27 minutes)

Simply Stories: Tuesday, Dec. 31, 10:15 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Geared for lap babies and preschoolers. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories – no crafts. If you’re looking for stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: Welcome to the wonderful world of stories and make-and-take crafts. Geared for preschool through 1st grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but if your group is larger than 5, call ahead so there are enough crafting supplies. (701) 433-5460. Thursday, Dec. 26, 6:30 p.m., Are You Sleeping? Announcements:

The Homework Center is closed on days when the schools are closed, including vacations and snow days.

The Library will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, and will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.

Closings due to winter weather or other emergencies will be posted on the website and also on WDAY.
