Library News (Dec. 28, 2011)

The Library will be closed on Sunday, Jan.1 and Monday, Jan. 2. 

Genealogy: Saturday, Dec. 31, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions! 

Knitty Giddy: Tuesday, Jan. 3, 6:30 p.m. If you are an experienced knitter, take along your projects and knit; if you are a new knitter, take your size 8 to size 10 needles and a skein of yarn and you will receive help getting started. Fun, relaxed group.

Ham Radio Group: Wednesday, Dec. 28, 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Open to adults interested in learning about ham radio.

Simple Stories: Tuesday, Jan. 3, 10 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts.  If you're looking for stories and crafts, visit the library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: Thursday, Dec. 29, 6:30 p.m., "Are You Sleeping?;" Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1:30 p.m., "Bear in Long Underwear;" Thursday, Jan. 5, 6:30 p.m., "Dinosaurs Love Underpants."

Friday Morning Movie: Dec. 30, 10:30 a.m., "Winnie the Pooh." In this animated film based on A.A. Milne's books, a donkey loses his tail. Join a bear, a tiger, a rabbit, and a kangaroo as they band together to locate the missing tale. (Rated G, 63 min).

Paddle Doodle: Thursday, Dec. 29, 2 to 4 p.m. Do you like to doodle?  Try it with yarn. Create your own unique design. Paddle game and all supplies provided. Open to children, teen, and adults.

End of Year Celebration: Friday, Dec. 30, 2 to 4:30 p.m. Enjoy games (Kinect Sports and Mario Cart Racing), crafts, and snacks - fun for the whole family.
