Special Events:

Carry-Out a Good Book, Thursday, March. Do you miss the fun of the Library's Summer Reading Program in the winter? We do, too. Register for "Carry-Out a Good Book" and receive: an edible book mark (to earn a free personal pan pizza from Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza); a book bag; and track your reading on a giant pizza in the Homework Center.

Two craft days on March 5 and March 19 (6:30-7:30) in the Homework Center and the Closing Celebration: "Hot Pizza Party" on Friday, March 23, (3:30-4:30). Open to teens and children.

Tea: Tuesday, March 6, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tea educator Vicky Jo Bogart returns to discuss the properties, varieties, and preparation of a good cup of tea. Health benefits of different varieties will also be discussed. Learn about tea and sample some of the delicious (and good for you!) brews. $5 non-refundable registration fee due at registration. Register at the service desk.

Regular Events:

Technology Thursday: Introduction to Microsoft Word, Thursday, March 1, 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. Get a very basic introduction to Microsoft Word. This introduction will prepare you to create and save files, format text including font size and style, spacing, numbered and bulleted lists. No previous experience required. Sign-up at the service desk or call 433-5460.

Genealogy: Saturday, March 3, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help you explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions. No appointment needed.

Knitty Giddy: Tuesday, March 6, 6:30 p. m. If you are an experienced knitter, take along your projects and knit; if you are a new knitter, take your size 8 to size 10 needles and a skein of yarn and you will receive help getting started. Fun, relaxed group.

Ham Radio Group: Wednesday, Feb. 29, 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. This group is open to adults interested in learning about ham radio.

Simply Stories: Tuesday, March 6, 10 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts.  If you're looking for stories and crafts, visit the Library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: Welcome to storytime. This year, our storytimes will include stories, songs, projects, and other activities. Thursday, March 1, 6:30 p.m., A Trip to the Dentist; Tuesday, March 6, 1:30 p.m., Bear's Loose Tooth; Thursday, March 8, 6:30 p.m., We're Off to Look for Aliens.

Friday Morning Movie - The Cat in the Hat Comes Back: Friday, March 2, 10:30 a.m., The Cat in the Hat returns in this animated film. (Rated E)
