Special Event:

"Carry Out a Good Book" winter reading program Craft Day:  Monday, March 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. It's not too late to join the winter reading program, open to children and teens.

When you register, you'll receive: an edible book mark (to earn a free personal pan pizza from Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza); a book bag; and track your reading on a giant pizza in the Homework Center. Participants are invited to a craft day on March 19, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the Homework Center and the Closing Celebration: "Hot Pizza Party" on Friday, March 23, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Technology Thursday: Introduction to Microsoft Excel: Thursday, March 15, 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. Spreadsheets are an ideal method for arranging information into columns and rows. Microsoft Excel allows you to create, maintain, and edit information in many different ways. Learn the basics of creating a spreadsheet, adding labels to columns and rows, adjusting cell size, and more. Sign-up at the service desk or call 433-5460 (required).

Genealogy: Saturday, March 17, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions.

Knitty Giddy: Tuesday, March 20, 6:30 p. m. If you are an experienced knitter, take bring along your projects and knit with us; if you are a new knitter, take your size 8 to size 10 needles and a skein of yarn and you will receive help getting started. Fun, relaxed group.

Ham Radio Group: Wednesday, March 14, 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Open to adults interested in learning about ham radio.

Simply Stories: Tuesday, March 20, 10 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts.  If you're looking for stories and crafts, visit the library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: This year, storytimes will include stories, songs, projects, and other activities.

Thursday, March 15, 6:30 p.m. "Share Time;" Tuesday, March 20, 1:30 p.m., "Dog & Bear;" Thursday, March 22, 6:30 p.m., "And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon."

Friday Morning Movie - Dr. Seuss' The Butter Battle Book: March 16, 10:30 a.m. The Zooks and the Yooks wage war over how to butter bread. (Rated E)

Upcoming Events:

"I Spy:" Wednesday, March 21, 110 to 11:30 a.m. Decorate a spy glass and enjoy music from other lands.  Geared for preschool through 1st grade.  Caretakers must remain with child.

National Goof Off Day: Thursday, March 22, 7 to 8 p.m. Paint and decorate a personal treasure chest. Open to all ages.

Closing Celebration "Hot Pizza Party:" Friday, March 23, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. This "Hot Pizza Party" is open to teens and children who have registered for our "Carry Out a Good Book" winter reading program.
