Special Event:

Arthur @ Storytime: Thursday, May 24, 6:30 p.m. A special visitor is coming to the library. Meet and greet Arthur. Stories will be read and don't forget your camera. Open to kids of all ages. Caretakers must remain with child.

Regular Events:

Online shopping and safety: Thursday, May 24, 6:30 p.m. Purchasing items via the Internet is convenient, but it isn't without risk. Learn about some popular websites for shopping and the best practices for making sure personal and credit information remains secure. Class sizes are small. Pre-register at the library service desk or by calling the library at 701-433-5460.

Genealogy: Saturday, May 26, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help you explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions.

Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, May 29, 6:30 p.m. Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. New and experienced crafters are welcome. Attend with your own supplies. You will receive lots of help getting started. New knitters take size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. To learn to crochet, take crochet hook and yarn.

Storytime: You are invited to listen to stories and help your child(ren) with a simple make-and-take project. This program is geared for young children. Don't underestimate the power of one half hour of time with your child. Thursday, May 24, 6:30 p.m., Arthur visits the library; Tuesday, May 29, 1:30 p.m., Glitter Critters; Thursday, May 31, 6:30 p.m., Dazzle.

Friday Morning Movie:  May 25, 10:30 a.m., The Safe Side (Pre-School Safety with Strangers). Preschool information on stranger safety presented in a nonthreatening manner. Rated (E)  42 minutes

Upcoming Event:

Kick-Off Celebration - Summer Reading Program: Saturday, June 2, 2 to 4 p. m. It's almost time for the Summer Reading Program. Attend the Kick-Off Celebration to register, enjoy refreshments, and walk through the SkyLab Planetarium. Summer Reading Program offers programs for all age groups, toddlers through adults. Join the program that's right for you.


Last Day for Homework Center: Thursday, May 24, 3 to 5:30 p.m. This will be the last day for Homework Center time until next school year.

Summer Hours: The library will be closed on Sundays throughout the summer, beginning May 27. It is also closed on Monday, May 28 for the holiday.
