Cake Decorating Class: 6:30 p.m., Thursday. Learn to make beautiful frosting flowers and leaves from a master cake decorator. A list of required supplies is available at the service desk. Registration is required.
West Fargo: Looking Back, Looking Forward: This exhibit features an illustrated timeline of the history of West Fargo and includes a few peeks at what lies ahead. Visit the exhibit on the upper level of the library during regular hours.
Teacups Book Club: 7 p.m. May 12. Bring a cup to be filled with a warm beverage and join other adults to discuss this month’s book, “Mrs. Kennedy & Me” by Clint Hill.
One-on-One Tech Classes: May 12. Times available are 6:30 p.m., 7:05 p.m., 7:40 p.m. Sign up for one 30-minute individual lesson and choose a topic. Up to 2 people may attend the same session, but only one topic will be covered. To see a list of class topics or to register, call or stop at the library service desk.
Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Explore family history. Bring projects or just ask questions.
Knitty Giddy: 6:30 p.m. May 13. New and experienced crafters are welcome. Bring supplies.
Friday Morning Movie – 10 a.m. Friday. “Where the Wild Things Are” An adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s story, where a child creates his own world, a forest inhabited with wild creatures who make him their king.(101 minutes, E)
Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. May 13. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers. The program is just stories – no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays or 6:30 p.m. Thursdays.
Story time: Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead to (701) 433-5460.

Fun with Foods: 10:15 a.m. May 22: Nutrition program for preschoolers. Story, craft and simple snack will be provided. Registration is appreciated but not required.
Saturday Flicks: “The Hunger Games – Catching Fire,” 2 p.m. May 24. After a stunning victory by Petta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen, the Districts of Panem have started a rebellion. Katniss and Peeta are tasked by President Snow to restore order, but will the districts follow suit? (146 minutes, PG-13)
Creative Corner: 12:30 p.m. May 28. Open to adults. No pre-registration is required for this program.
Announcements: The Homework Center is closed on days when the schools are closed, including vacations and snow days. The last day of Homework Center for this school year will be May 22.
The library will be closed on May 25, 26, and Sundays throughout the summer.
