West Fargo: Looking Back, Looking Forward: This exhibit features an illustrated timeline of the history of West Fargo and include a few peeks at what lies ahead. Visit the exhibit (upper level of the Library) during regular hours.

Maisy Mouse - Storytime visit: Thursday, Oct. 24, 6:30 p. m. Maisy Mouse character will visit the library for storytime. Children are invited to enjoy stories by Lucy Cousins and greet Maisy. Cameras are welcome - take a photo and remember the fun times at the library.

Halloween Safety Storytime: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1:30 to 2 p.m. Enjoy a fun 1/2 hour with your little one. Stories and a make-and-take craft. A West Fargo Police officer will read a story and talk to children about Halloween safety. Special surprises will be given.

Tech-Petting Zoo: Monday, Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this. The library has many new tech items that may be checked out of the library and some that may be used while in the library. Take a look and you will be amazed. There are laptops, iPads, kilo-a-watt meter, flip cameras, infrared thermometer and more. All will be on display and instructions on the “how to use” provided. This program will be held in the library’s front lobby. Peruse to your heart’s content. No registration is required and it is open to all ages.

Genealogy: Saturday, Oct. 26, 12 to 4 p. m. Are you ready to explore your family’s history? Receive help. Take your projects or just ask questions.

Ham Radio Operators (RRRA): Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. Open to all adults interested in learning about ham radio operating.

Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m. Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. New and experienced crafters are welcome. Attend with your own supplies. Lots of help to get beginners started. New knitters should take size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. If you’d like to learn to crochet, take a crochet hook and yarn.

Friday Morning Movie – Franklin’s Halloween: Friday, Oct. 25, 10:30 a.m. A Spooktacular show. Enjoy a Halloween surprise with a turtle friend in the “Haunted House”. Watch the movie and enjoy a Halloween snack of popcorn. Rated E

Simply Stories: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 10:15 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories – no crafts. If you’re looking for stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: Welcome to the wonderful world of stories and make-and-take crafts. Story times are geared for preschool through 1st grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but if your group is larger than 5, call ahead so there are enough crafting supplies. Upcoming Events:

Tech Class - Protecting Your Computer: Monday, Nov. 4, 7 p.m. Learn how to keep your PC healthy. Find out about computer viruses, spyware, malware, pop-ups and more.

Class will be presented by Brian Roberts of Roberts PC Solutions. Registration is required. Space is limited.

Make a Card for a Veteran: Thursday, Nov. 7, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thank a Vet: Join in and create cards for veterans. The library will provide supplies or you may bring some card making supplies. The cards will be given to the Veterans Hospital in Fargo. No registration is required and all ages are welcome.

The library is located at 109 3rd St. E. in the Lodoen Community Center.
