Local photographer's work goes to international exhibition

John Craig, Dan Francis, and Jessica Sell-CPP, recently were awarded Merit Images at the Professional Photographers of America's (PPA) 2012 District Photographic Competition. Their images will be on display in Atlanta, Georgia for the national photographic convention Imaging USA, an annual convention of professional photographers and several photographic associations.

Dan Francis of Dan Francis Photography, 2010 PPND Photographer of the Year, had two photographs accepted as merit images; including a very rare perfect score of 100 on his portrait entry "The Traveler." Last year only .3 percent of all entries received a score of 100. Francis also received a merit for his portrait entry "Forgive Me."

Jessica Sell of All Event Photography, 2011 NWPPA Photographer of the Year and PPA Certified Professional Photographer, also had two photographs accepted as merit images; illustrative entry "Victory Clutch" and portrait entry "Razor Sharp."

Award winning West Fargo landscape, nature and fine arts photographer, John Craig, also received a merit with his illustrative entry "Forty Seven Fifty One."

In addition to being PPA members, all three photographers are also members of the NorthWest Professional Photographers Association based in Fargo.
