Man Arrested Following Request for Gas Voucher

On 11 April 2011 at approximately 9:40 AM a male appeared at the West Fargo Police Department to request a gas voucher. The driver, Dalton Beyer, 19, Charlestown, IN, presented registration and insurance information on a vehicle registered to T-Rex Conoco of Dickinson. West Fargo Police employee Tracy Haugen thought this to be unusual and contacted an officer. A telephone call was placed to the staff at T-Rex Conoco who indicated they did not know Beyer and had just begun looking for the vehicle. A theft of motor vehicle report was made in Dickinson. Beyer was taken into custody on the charge of theft of motor vehicle and transported to the Cass County Jail.
