Man gets 7 years in Wahpeton robbery

A man was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday for his role in a 2003 convenience store robbery in Wahpeton, N.D.

A judge sentenced James Samuel to 10 years in prison, three of them suspended, and gave him five years of supervised probation following his release. He was convicted by a Richland County jury in January of accomplice to armed robbery.

The other man in the case, James Kenyi, was convicted of armed robbery and aggravated assault for shooting the Stop-N-Go clerk in her leg. He was sentenced last year, also to seven years in prison.
