Margie Miller, 81, Fargo, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in the Elim Care Center, Fargo. Services were held Saturday, April 5, in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo
Margie DeGroat was born June 10, 1926, at Ogema, Minn. She was raised in the Ogema area and graduated from Waubun, Minn., High School. She moved to Fargo where she worked and later married George Bertek. They had two children, Sharon and Gary. She later married Marvin Miller, April 30, 1965, and they lived in Fargo. She had resided at Elim Care Center for the past three years.
Margie was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed supporting them and participating with them in their many activities. She and Marv were constant companions, sharing a love of fishing, hunting, bowling, dancing and family gatherings. She treasured her time spent with family and friends.
Margie is survived by her husband, Marvin, West Fargo; daughter, Sharon Schock, Fargo; son, Gary Bertek, West Fargo; five sisters, Martha (John) Heisler, Ogema, Minn., Jenny McArthur, White Earth, Minn., Yvonne Karch, Fargo, Joyce (Don) Priebe, Fountain, Minn. and Sandra Williams, Detroit Lakes, Minn.; three grandchildren, Taylor Bertek, Shane (Jane) Schock and Wendy (Christopher) Pellant and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Bertek; brothers, Orin DeGroat and George DeGroat and sister, Edna Olson.
