Mattson golf scramble set to benefit Cronin

The 12th annual Brian Mattson Invitational Golf Scramble will take place at 11:30 p.m. June 20 at the Leonard Golf Course in Leonard, N.D.

The tournament is designed to help a member of the community by having fun on the golf course. This year’s beneficiary is West Fargo High School junior Keegan Cronin.

Cronin – a wrestler for the Packers – was diagnosed with testicular cancer in December. He later found out the cancer had spread to his lungs. Chemo has helped, but a surgery is scheduled for June 6 to remove all that doctors can.

The event organizers encourage everyone interested to form a four-person team in support of Cronin. Those unable to form a team will be placed on another team.

The cost per individual is $75, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a meal and two drink tickets.

The organizers are also looking for door prizes and silent auction items, and are inviting people and business to sponsor a hole for $25.

A bus will pick up participants at Bar Nine in West Fargo to transport them to and from the course for $15.

Those looking to register can contact Brian Mattson at (701) 306-4825.
