Seventh and eighth graders are welcome to attend tryouts for the West Fargo middle school dance team, which begin at 4 p.m. Monday, March 19, and run daily through the week.

Team member selections take place at the end of the tryout period.

There will be a parents meeting for any interested dancers on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Cheney Middle School theater.

The Mystikix also have hired a new coach to replace Kristi Brager, who retired after 18 years of coaching.

Sasha Steichen, a former West Fargo Packatahna and West Fargo High School graduate, will fill the void at head coach. Shayla Lund, also a former Packatahna and West Fargo grad, will be assistant coach.

Steichen and Lund were members of the NDSU Division I National Champion dance team this year. Both are very excited to be leading the Mystkix, and are looking forward to getting started.

For questions regarding tryouts, contact Sasha at s.steichen@live.com.
