N.D. American Legion donates to Lisbon Veterans Home

The North Dakota American Legion recently donated $4,646.33 to the N.D. Veterans Home in Lisbon. This was matched by the N.D. Veterans Home Foundation of $4,600 for a total donation of $9,246.33, which will support the construction of a shelter at the Veterans Home.

The money donated by the American Legion was raised last year as the Commander's Project of State Commander Bob Krause of Fargo.

The North Dakota Veterans Home Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1987. The goal of the foundation is to build a permanent endowment from which income is used for activities, programs, and equipment to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Veterans Home. Its Board of Directors promotes giving to the endowment fund, manages and invests the funds, and allocates income from the investments. Board members are made up of volunteers from the DAV, VFW, AMVETS, American Legion and Vietnam Veterans of America.
