New printer, outlook for NorthWest Professional Color
NorthWest Professional Color recently purchased a state-of-the-art, 10-foot printer in an attempt to bolster the commercial aspect of their business, known as NorthWest Visual, which they opened over the summer.
“We’ve been in business for 42 years now,” NorthWest’s president Arden Glanzer said.”It has slowly grown year after year, but now we are able to open to more markets (with NorthWest Visual).”
To celebrate their recent purchase, NorthWest hosted an open house on Thursday to allow residents to tour their facility, see some of their products and meet some of the NorthWest staff.
“We know we have a great base of employees and a great facility, and our quality has always been number one for us,” CEO Susan Rau said. “Arden built this business - and I am continuing it - on the tradition of quality.”
The new printer, an EFI Vutek QS3 Pro, was purchased in December and is the most current technology available on the market. It can print on various materials - including glass, metal, wood, etc. - and can print on material of virtually any length, as long as it is under 10 feet wide and two inches thick. It can also print projects that used to take days in a matter of hours.
“With the speed of it, the quality is never going to be a concern,” Rau said. “If we run it for a few hours a day, it will pay for itself pretty quickly.”
The NorthWest staff prides itself on its ability to adapt to the changing market while still meeting the needs of its clientele.
“We have an amazing group here that is very supportive of all our clients and the changes we have been going through,” Rau said. “All they want is to make everyone happy.”
