Nyhus named to CLU Golf All-Decade Team

Peder Nyhus, of West Fargo, has been named to the California Lutheran University Golf 2000-09 All-Decade Team.

Nyhus played during 2003-06, earning a pair of all-conference honors in his four-year career with the Kingsmen. In 2004, he was named to the first team after he ranked fourth in the conference with a 75.8 stroke average. In 2005, Nyhus placed second at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships and was named to the All-SCIAC Second Team. That same season he also took ninth at the West Region Invitational. Nyhus began his career as a freshman with a sixth-place finish at the SCIAC Championships.

CLU is a selective university in Thousand Oaks, Calif. CLU's intercollegiate athletic teams - comprised of more than 360 student athletes - compete in SCIAC at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III level. CLU sports teams and individuals have collected more than 60 SCIAC titles since joining the league in 1991.
