By making it to 3-0 on the season, the Packers now sit at the top of the Eastern Dakota Conference standings.

West Fargo and Central swapped leads in the early minutes of the game, but the Packers eventually pulled ahead and never looked back, leading by an astonishing score of 54-17 at halftime. The second half was no different, as they cruised to to a 49-point victory, the highest margin of victory of the year in the EDC by a wide margin.

Proving the team’s consistency, the Packers had four players score in double digits for the third straight time.

Leading the charge for the Packers was senior guard Cassidy Thorson, who made five three-pointers in seven attempts and finished with 25 points and six rebounds in just 18 minutes of play.

Freshman forward Akealy Moton continued to establish her place in the Packers’ starting lineup, finishing with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals in 18 minutes of play.

It was Moton’s second straight game with more than 20 points. Through three games, she has scored 67 points (a 22.3-point average).

Junior guard Allison Enno chipped in 13 points of her own, and senior forward Kaitlin Langerud scored 11 points to go along with her game-high five assists.

Center Shelby Gustafson just missed the double-digit mark with nine points, but also had six rebounds and two blocked shots.

The Packers are the only team left in the EDC without a loss.

The Pack will host the Minot Magicians -- who are currently 3-2 on the season -- on Friday evening for a 6 p.m. game.
