"We knew that stakes were high and that it was our only chance to get to nationals," coach Jenni Stewart said. "They just stepped up and really pulled it together in the end. I am very proud of the team."

The girls competed in the Small Varsity Non-Tumbling division and were the only team to receive a bid.

The girls that competed this weekend were Emily Chadwick, Gabbie Chase, Sierrah Clements, Casidy Delgado, Missy Harms, Taylor Hintgen, Taylor Ostern, Emily Perala, Tanya Ridder, McKenzie Schiele, Hannah Slagle, Elisa Wenzel.

Other members of the team include Ciera Holland and Eliza Strouse.

The team is coached by Jenni Stewart, with assistants Sarah Beyer, Chelsea Hermanson and Beth Beyer.

The team is now gearing up to defend their title for the second year in a row at the NDCCA State Cheerleading Championship in Bismarck on Saturday. After that, they will focus on fundraising and sponsorship for their trip to Florida.
