“I was very proud of the way our teams competed,” head coach Darin McKinnon said. “It was truly a team effort and our kids took advantage of the opportunities given to them.”

Both teams had a three-event winner. Senior Jaime Heinen-Lugert took first in the 1-meter dash, long jump and triple jump for the boys and junior Amanda Levin was victorious in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.

The boys’ other first-place finishes came from seniors Jordan Bishoff in the high jump and Austin Albrecht in the 3200-meter run.

The Packers will now head to Bismarck on Friday for the North Dakota State Tournament.

“We are looking forward to getting out to Bismarck this weekend,” McKinnon said. “This is why we train and work so hard throughout the course of the season, to have the opportunity to compete at a meet of this level.
