Packers win last two duals

The West Fargo wrestling team finished the regular season the same way it started: victorious.
The Packers beat Fargo North 46-24 on Thursday and Wahpeton 58-18 on Friday to finish the season undefeated.
The team had four victories by pin against the Spartans and one by a major decision to seal the win.
In Friday’s dual, the Packers only lost three of their 14 matches – one by forfeit – to overwhelm the Huskies.
“I thought we wrestled well the last two duals of the regular season,” head coach Kayle Dangerud. “The guys have done a great job up to this point, and we are looking forward to the postseason and accomplishing our team goals.”
The 18-0 Packers will begin their state title defense on Saturday, as they head to Grand Forks-Red River for the Eastern Dakota Conference regional tournament.
The state tournament will take place next weekend at the Fargodome.
