Pearson named Exchange Club student of month for March
Hope Pearson, a senior at West Fargo High School, has been named West Fargo Exchange Club Student of the Month for March. Hope has maintained a weighted 4.29 grade point average and a non-weighted 4.0, ranking number one out of 457 students in her class. She is the daughter of Victoria Pearson of West Fargo.
Course involvement at West Fargo High has included: honors and AP English, biology, chemistry, U.S. history, U.S. government, calculus, and dual credit anatomy physiology I and II, microeconomics, and fundamentals of public speaking.
She has also been active in National Honor Society, Big Brother Big Sister, L.E. Berger Reading Buddies, Key Club, Prom Committee, Junior Engineering Society's Tests of Engineering Aptitude Mathematics and Science, and Student Council; as well as band, jazz band, band officer, and pit orchestra. Athletically she has been a member of the high school dance line and track and field and has volunteered for Fargo Park District Winter and Fall Festivals.
She has also attended Girls State, and was the recipient of a Horatio Alger Scholarship, academic letter, and first and second bar.
In time away from school, Hope is employed as a manager at the Dairy Queen and works at Sunrise Sunset Preschool and Daycare.
Her future plans included attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to pursue a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
