Petereson, Cormican named Homecoming King and Queen

Homecoming events got underway Monday night with Coronation ceremonies in the West Fargo High School theater at 7 p.m. Chelsea Peterson, daughter of Mike and Diana Peterson, was crowned Homecoming Queen. Zach Cormican, son of Julie and John Stearns and Shawn and Lisa Cormican, was chosen as Homecoming King.

Homecoming royalty included ShayLa Lund, daughter of Heidi and Seth Lund; Mackenzie Schommer, daughter of Wayne Schommer and Colette Bellerud; Haylee Swanson, daughter of Roxanne Swanson; Shawna Wienckowski, daughter of Dede and Ken Wienckowski; Kristina Yerisov, daughter of Irina and Aleksandr Yerisov; Eric Driscoll, son of Charles and Gayle Driscoll; Cole Mapes, son of Brian and Jayne Mapes; Jason Moch, son of Joseph and Rebecca Moch; David Schmidt, son of Bryan and Alison Schmidt; and Luke Sollum, son of John and Sue Wagner.

The Homecoming game against the Shanley Deacons will kick off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, at Packer Field. The Homecoming Dance will follow in the West Fargo High School gym from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Other activities slated during Homecoming week included a pep fest and the annual Powder Puff football game on Wednesday, along with West Fargo Invitational games for girls golf, boys soccer, boys tennis, volleyball, and cross country scheduled throughout the week.
