Peters receives honors scholarship

Alecs Peters has received an $8,000 President's Honors Scholarship from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Peters is the daughter of Todd and Dawn Peters, West Fargo, and intends to major in mass communications with an emphasis in photojournalism.

  The President's Honor Scholarship awards $2,000 for the freshman year and requires a high school class rank in the top five percent and a score of 28 or above on the ACT exam. It's renewable for four years with a 3.5 GPA.

  Minnesota State University Moorhead is a comprehensive regional university enrolling approximately 7,500 students. MSU Moorhead is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
