Peterson Farms Seed hosts contest
Peterson Farms Seed, a local supplier of corn and soybean seed specifically suited to northern growers, is currently accepting entries for their Second Annual "Farm Follies" Foto Contest.
"We are very serious about agronomics, the seed business, the product we put out and taking care of our customers. But we think that business and farming should have an element of fun as well," said Carl Peterson. "Like a lot of things in life, farming mishaps might not be funny at the time, but in retrospect we can draw amusement from them."
Individuals are encouraged to submit their best photo of on-farm follies, bloopers, or mishaps with the opportunity to win a Scheels gift card.
Visit www.PetersonFarmsSeed.com between November 2 and Thanksgiving to vote for your favorite. The winner will be announced at the Northern Ag Expo in December.
To enter: include your name, town, and a brief description (50 words or less) and submit your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries must be received by November 1. Voting will take place at www.petersonfarmsseed.com Nov 2-24.
The grand prize will be a $300 Scheels gift card. Second and third place winners will each receive a $100 Scheels gift card.
The contest is open to all North Dakota and Minnesota growers. All submitted photos will become the property of Peterson Farms Seed and may be used for future marketing purposes.
