Police academy accepting applications

The West Fargo Police Department is now accepting applications for the Fall session of the Citizens Police Academy. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. beginning Sept. 27, and continue weekly through Dec. 20.

This program is designed to increase the understanding between the West Fargo Police Department and the citizens we serve. Topics include: Drug Enforcement, SWAT and BOMB teams, Traffic Stops, Firearms, Registered Offenders, Ride Alongs, and much more.

This is free to participants and applicants must be at least 20 years of age. Applications are available on our web site: www.westfargopolice.com and also at the West Fargo Police Department. If you have any questions contact Officer Rhonda Jorgensen at 433-5500.
