Jordan Rasmussen has committed to play with the Marauders. The news first came in early February, when head University of Mary football coach Myron Schulz announced the commitment of 34 high school student-athletes.

"Every recruiting class is exciting as we get to bring new members into the University of Mary family," Schulz said. "I enjoy the process of getting to know these student-athletes over the past year and we look forward to the day when they can step onto the field for the Marauders."

Feb. 2 was the first day student-athletes were eligible to sign a National Letter of Intent with NCAA Division I and Division II colleges.

The 5-foot, 10-inch Rasmussen was a two-year varsity performer with the Packers. During his senior year, the 190-pound linebacker accumulated 29 tackles and one interception en route to helping West Fargo win an East Region title.

Rasmussen plans to major in physical therapy while at Mary. He is the son of Susan and Kent Rasmussen, of West Fargo.
